Clinical takeawayKeep cold snare polypectomy as the technique for 3-9 mm polyps without routine submucosal injection; it did not lower the incomplete resection rate and lengthened the procedure (77 vs 54 s) with added injection supplies. Conversion to EMR (12% vs 1%) followed the trial's own rule of never forcing the snare and occurred only for 6-9 mm polyps.
What it foundSubmucosal injection before cold snare polypectomy (SI-CSP) did not reduce incomplete resection rates (0% vs 1%, p=1) but cut EMR conversion rates to 1% vs 12% (p<0.001) for 3-9 mm polyps.
ContextBoth arms reached very low incomplete resection rates when the snare was never forced; submucosal injection mainly reduced conversion to EMR (12% to 1%), which occurred only for 6-9 mm polyps.
No standard claimed for this paper

Every paper is compared to the standard governing its question. This one is not: either no standard in the corpus matches it, or the comparison did not hold up on review and was withdrawn rather than published unverified. Both are logged.
