Physician editor, GI Signals
Simon Mathews is a gastroenterologist and the physician editor of GI Signals, a weekly digest of what is worth knowing in the GI literature. Each paper is read against the current standard of care, and each issue is reviewed by him before it publishes.
The digest began as a tool for his own practice: a way to keep up with the literature without reading every table of contents, and to know not just what was published but whether it should change anything. It worked well enough to be worth sharing.
