Clinical takeawayNo clinical action yet: a mechanistic finding in mice (FABP4 deletion suppressed tumor growth) and preliminary multi-omics profiling in humans. FABP4 is a potential target but requires validation.
What it foundAn SH-HCC index reliably differentiated SH-HCC from conventional HCC, and a diagnostic model based on 12 lipid species achieved AUC=0.909 in an independent cohort. Drug response analysis suggested reduced responsiveness to sorafenib and immunotherapy in SH-HCC, while transarterial chemoembolisation remained effective.
ContextSH-HCC is a poorly understood subtype of HCC with distinct molecular features, including a lipid-rich phenotype and altered immune microenvironment, with potential therapeutic implications.
No standard claimed for this paper

Every paper is compared to the standard governing its question. This one is not: either no standard in the corpus matches it, or the comparison did not hold up on review and was withdrawn rather than published unverified. Both are logged.
